Arrived in Sibenik Crotia this morning which rests at the mouth of the Krka River the oldest Croatian city in the Dalmatian Coast. We took a tender off the ship to visit Krka National Park to see the Krka Waterfalls and town of Skradin. What a beautiful country which is laid back and totally dependent on tourism. First time we had to take a tender to go ashore.
Came back to ship to visit our best friends/bartender.

Bari Italy is located at the heel of Italys boot. We arrived this morning and took a bus to the Castellana Caves and the city of Polignano A Mare. The caves are Italyโ€™s longest subterranean cave network. The mineral deposits cling to walls creating shimmering multicolored curtains and columns. The Grave has an opening in its ceiling letting in sunlight. The Whit cave has alabaster stalactites and stalagmites. The city of Polignano a Mare sits on top a 65 foot high limestone cliff above the Adriatic Sea.

Crotone Italy was our stop today. It was nice to be in a small town unlike the first part of this trip. Crotone is known for its pristine waters, untouched mountains and vast forests. We took a tour to the Ceraudo Winery. It is a small family run winery. It was that was the first to become certified organic in the area. It is run by a father, son and two daughters. One daughter who is a chef and has won a Michaline star and the first green star for being totally organic and use of all of their ingredients from their property. The daughter that showed us their operations was so proud of their business. The first picture of an olive tree is over 1600 years old. They produce both red and white wines along with olive oil.

Arrived in Catania Sicily Italy Friday afternoon. It is an ancient port city in the foothills of Mt. Etna. Catania is Sicily's second largest city and one of Italy's busiest ports.
We took a walking tour of the city which was bustling with many cruise ships. Weather continues to be hot and sunny. We also came upon a car rally Raid-del-Aetna.
I saw a wee little man as we sat in town center eating gelato and told Jai- I needed to take his photo. He was dressed in his Sundays finest. He obliged and even posed. The he motioned that I needed to take a selfie with him. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ
