Drive from Pierre to Abraham Lincoln State Park campground in Mandan South Dakota which is outside Bismarck South Dakota. We still had winds but not the gusts like our last travel day. Today we drove to Bismarck and toured the State Capital, Heritage Center and State Museum and ended with a ride on Lewis and Clark riverboat. The state capital was interesting and decorated in Art Deco- unlike any other capital we’ve seen. The North Dakota Veterans Cemetery is around the corner on a hill. It was a beautiful site this morning with the sun shining down. Swallows were all around the bridge near the boat and have built so many mud nests.
