Friday our trip from Mitchell SD to Pierre included a stop at the Dignity Statue that is located at a rest stop, what an amazing site. Pictures I’ve seen do not do it justice. The wind shortened our stop but I did get quit a few pictures.
Pierre South Dakota is are current city until Monday morning. Yesterday was a very rough drive from Mitchell to Pierre with crazy wind and worst gusts. There was some damage occurred to a few trailers/rv’s along the way. Jai was able to safely get us to our current campground. We went to Cattlemen’s Restaurant for dinner as a groups last night- unfortunately not as good as we’ve previously had while traveling. Today we had a tour of the South Dakota Capitol building which has amazing architecture. We found a great diner for lunch that we shared with a couple from Las Cruces NM. Free day here tomorrow then on to Bismarck South Dakota.
This afternoon Jai fixed the Dish attena on the roof and I put the shade back together after yesterday’s wind fiasco. Always be prepared for whatever may come.
