We arrived in Mitchell South Dakota. Today we visited the famous Corn Palace and learned of its history. I never knew that it has been around since 1892 and was started to rally for Mitchell to become the state capital of South Dakota. The design is changed each year and is made of corn, wheat and rye . I took some up close pictures to show this. This year is Famous South Dakotans. We also had to other places in town we visited with the final one having an archeological dig in process under a domed building.
