We are staying on the South Dakota/Iowa border luckily avoiding the twisters but not the wind and rain. Yesterday we visited the Steamship Museum and visitors center, Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center and Sergeant Floyd Monument. Sergeant Floyd was the only person who started the Lewis and Clark trip and passed prior to completion. After visiting these sites, we drove to Le Mars which is the Ice Cream Capital of the World. There was a museum in Well's Visitor Center that documented the creation of Blue Bunny Ice cream. We started with ice cream and ended with a great lunch at Iowa BBQ Company. Today we head to Mitchell South Dakota.
