We left the ship this morning after three weeks to spend the next four days exploring Athens with our Viking post excursion group. We headed to the Acropolis to see the Parthenon, one of the largest structures built in Ancient Greece. What an amazing space to spend time exploring with thousands of others. We went on to the new Acropolis Museum that is a repository for priceless artifacts that was opened 2009. After checking into the hotel we walked to a family Greek restaurant that was suggested by our guide. What a wonderful family, perfect setting, amazing food and wine.
