A Travellerspoint blog

We arrived at the 17mile inlet to get to the heart of Kotor Montenegro this morning. It is located in Europe’s southernmost fjord. It is lined with towering cliffs of limestone and amazingly blue water. We took an excursion into the countryside to the Luštica Peninsula where local products include cheese, prosciutto, wine and olive oil. We met with a fourth generation olive farm owner that explained their process, toured their farm and sampled wonderful fruits of their labors. Restaurants used Singer sewing machine bases for tables and cats were everywhere in Kotor. They have long been used to keep the rodent population at bay.
Another great day on our adventure.
