Bari Italy is located at the heel of Italys boot. We arrived this morning and took a bus to the Castellana Caves and the city of Polignano A Mare. The caves are Italy’s longest subterranean cave network. The mineral deposits cling to walls creating shimmering multicolored curtains and columns. The Grave has an opening in its ceiling letting in sunlight. The Whit cave has alabaster stalactites and stalagmites. The city of Polignano a Mare sits on top a 65 foot high limestone cliff above the Adriatic Sea.
