A Travellerspoint blog

Left Lafayette Louisiana this morning after stopping for seasoned pork cracklings, chicken cracklings and boudin balls from Billy's. Perfect traveling food.
We arrived at Alsatian RV Resort this afternoon after a long trip from Lafayette Louisiana. We made a stop for fuel at a Buc-ee's. First time but not the last. As they say everything is bigger in Texas. The fuel was much cheaper especially when we are filling an 80 gal diesel tank. I went inside and was overwhelmed there is so much to see and purchase. I ended up with cinnamon rolls for tomorrows breaksfast as big as my head, two kinds of beef jerky for Jai, Bever nuggets and sea salted caramel bever nuggets. Oh my what an adventure and I only saw 1/4 of the store.
We have a great site with a casita right off the golf course. The casita has a full bathroom/shower, grill, patio area, covered area with ceiling fan/lights and cement patio. Could get used to this kinda place.

Kathleen, I loved Buc-ee's on my 2nd trip to Texas! I was in there almost an hour, wandering around. We have matching Buc-ee's t-shirts now. They are super soft and one of my favorites. Lol.

So glad I caught up on your postings this morning. It made me smile. Also reminds me I need to get my photos out of storage and into this house. ❤

Merry Christmas to you both.
