A Travellerspoint blog

The group took a bus into Savannah and picked up a trolley to get a tour around Savannah. It was not a hop on/off but a narrated history tour of the area. They dropped us off and we wandered a bit before gathering at Paula Deen's Lady and Son restaurant for a family style lunch. It was so good and we enjoyed every bit of it. We had a salad, macaroni and cheese, cheese biscuits, yams, green beans, fried chicken, shredded beef and rice and choice of desserts-peach cobbler, banana pudding or vanilla or chocolate ooey gooey cake. Needless to say we did not eat dinner tonight. After lunch we were able to wander along the river shops before catching our bus back to the campground. Tomorrow is a free day before we head to St. Augustine Fla for the final day leg of this trip.
