Tuesday we headed to the US Naval Academy in Annapolis MD. We received a great tour with a wife of a naval officer leading us around. She was born in Russia, wanted to learn English, traveled to the UK foe emersion. She met her husband to be there and ended up in Annapolis. Her father in law was an inventor that held many patents including the mammogram machine. She was so knowledgeable and a treat to spend the morning with.
We had lunch at a bar/restaurant in town-wonderful mussels. After lunch we headed to Ft. McHenry National Monument and learned about the history of The Star Spangled Banner/Francis Scott Key.
We ended the day meeting up with friends for dinner. John and Nikki took us to K-Pot which was a Korean BBQ and Hot Pot restaurant. What a great dining experience. You order meat/seafood/veggies/broth and so many more choices that you either grill or put in your hot pot. The table has a grill set in the end of the table and each person has an induction plate that your personal pot in placed on. Thank goodness Nikki knew what to order on the iPad and the food kept coming. She also explained how to use the food/pot and manned the grill. If you ever have a chance to go to a place like this do it. A great end to the day with friends.
