A Travellerspoint blog

Monday we took a road trip to Little River Canyon National Preserve. On the way we passed thru Fort Payne which is home town to the music group Alabama. They have statues in the city park and a museum at the edge of town.
The National Park offices were closed so no Junior Ranger badge for Jai. This preserve is beautiful that has a long drive thru the park with many turn outs. Even with it being off season and much of the area in a dormant stage we still found beauty in nature. One of my favorite things to see are waterfalls and we found a few today. Amazing how a little bit of sun, blue skies and nature can start a week out right.
