last night we had a great evening at Phyllis and Al's around the fire pit. We always laugh lots and Phyllis and Jai poke at each other. They challenge each other and always try to one up the other.
Today was a beautiful day here so we decided to travel to Fairhope Alabama which is about 45 minutes north west of us. The sun was shining and had a nice ride to go to Sunset Point https://sunsetpointefairhope.com which is located at a marina. Found this place searching for Triple D's (Diners Drive Ins and DIves) in Alabama. Such a great setting which allow for indoor, covered patios and outdoor next to the water. No matter where you sit the view is beautiful. We sat outdoors and saw many sailboats come in and out of the marina. The menu made it hard to chose but we made a dent in it. Started with porter for Jai, smokey mule for me and split blue crab mac and cheese. Lunch consisted of Yellow Bama beer mussels for Jai and BBQ shrimp for me. They both came with the best crunchy bread to enjoy the wonderful sauces that they both came in. We left stuffed and brought home some of mine to savor another day.
Had to make another stop on the way home when I saw a Piggly WIggly. My last t-shirt has become a yard shirt so I needed to pick up a new one. Found a very cool purple one to add to my wardrobe. What a great day enjoying the warmth, sunshine and friends in Alabama.
