Mardi Gras World

We took a tour of Blaine Kern's Mardi Gras World. They are responsible for building many of the Mardi Gras floats for the annual parades. It was an interesting tour that gave of insight into the whole process. It started with a video what Mardi Gras is and how it came about. I never knew anything except for the drunk parades I've seen on TV. No idea that the floats represent non-profit groups many going backs over one hundred years. Great place to visit if you ever have time in NOLA.

Very, very cool. I knew a bit about the Krewes from years ago handling NOLA territory out of the Houston office. Love the pictures, as always!
