We left London Tuesday and headed toward Dover but of course we made a detour when Jai saw a WWII 1948 memorial. Great place that had both outside and inside memorabilia. We continued on and drive to Dover to see the White Cliffs, lighthouse and other sights near out stop for the night. Up the next morning and headed to Beachy Head. Beautiful area with unbelievable hiking trails that are a national walkway and lots of people all ages hiking parts of it. We found two lighthouses-the original in the water below the white cliffs and the newer on top of a rock outcropping. We came upon a beautiful restored MG and spoke to the owner. It was a four year restoration and you could see it was his pride and joy. We continued on till we found our lodging for the night in a quaint little town and the place originated from the 700's. It was the Black Smiths Room and the owner has a great combination of original and new furnishings. AB&B has offered us a great variety of places this trip and we've met so many interesting hosts. Today we drove to Stratford Upon Avon stopping at a rural Stone Circle and The British Heritage Motor Museum. Both great stops for the day. We'll be here for 2 nights so more exploring of the area.

Wow, you both have explored some magnificent areas & I'm particularly interested in the WWII 1948 Memorial you found. Sounds like your getting plenty of exercise in via hiking trails & through your explorations. What an experience your having on this journey. Unbelievable & breathtaking & a monumental journey together. Excited to have lunch upon your return to listen to your adventures. Sweet dreams ????????????????
