Wicklow Ireland

Yesterday we spent the day exploring many areas of Wicklow. First we headed to the water to see the port, lighthouse, Black Castle ruins and the cliff walk near the golf course. Headed into town to see the Wicklow Gaol(jail) which was terrible under British rule and better under Irish rule.
We headed out to Wicklow National Park-Glendalough. What a beautiful area that could be explored for days. We stopped at Upper lake and visited resting place of of my cousin Brian Findlay. Hiked up to the falls and wandered some more.
Next we headed to Powerscourt waterfall-tallest in Ireland. Another beautiful place to picnic or take a rest and enjoy the scenery. Final stop of the day was at Mickey Finns / Wicklow Brewery. I had my first taste of mussels-to Jai's dismay I loved them which left less for for him. The beer was tasty-I had a ginger beer which I loved Jai had stout which also was great. Dinner did not disappoint. Met some people from Wisconsin who were headed home soon after two weeks of exploring. Another day in the books for us in Ireland.
